Des Moines Thunderstorm
June 27, 2008, Ricky McFarland captures a thunderstorm two miles SW of Des Moines. At the time of the picture baseball sized hail was reported falling from storm.
Waterloo Iowa - Floods of 2008
Home in the San Souci area June 10, 2008. Though dozens of people attempted to sandbag the east side of the island, a sandbag dike gave way at approximately 9:30 p.m. and residents were advised by authorities to evacuate the area.
Parkersburg Iowa Tornado

- CRStormChase : Anyone catch tornado that went west of Des Moines? We might of caught funnel north of DM along shelf cloud. Scored 4 to 5 tors on Sat. by Kinsely. Praying for those effected past few days. tragic event unfolding.
- ZachGrove : If you have not looked yet make sure you check out the storm hitting Ok right now. Reports comming in of a large wedge tornado on the ground. Nice hook on radar.
- tommyd : Good luck Zack! Josh is a celebrity, kept getting phone calls at the pizza ranch from other st.chasers! Agree Brad, Ryan you ought to wait to have those fix..esp. if your following Josh. Josh likes seeing how close he can get to hail cores without actually getting into them....so to speak..lol
