Iowa Slashes Old Snow Record
DES MOINES, Iowa -- A new round of snow is falling across Iowa on Monday as this winter season sets a new record.

A new NWS outlook is predicting high risk of significant flooding in Iowa this spring. What's your prediction?

Iowa has seen a record 55 consecutive days with at least a 4 inch snow depth this year. The old record was 54 days set back in 1961-1962.

More light snow is forecast on Monday and Monday night. Parts of northern Iowa could see a couple more inches of snow added to their totals.

So far 42.6 inches of snow has fallen this season. The Des Moines has around 9 inches still on the ground as of Monday morning.
